Policies

Payment for services

All payments must be made prior to the training session.  We accept cash, check or Visa & MasterCard.  All packages and purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Missed and canceled appointments

A late cancelation or missed appointment is charged to a client at the full-session price unless a 24-hour advanced notice is given and acknowledged verbally by a Pilates Center of South Dakota, LLC trainer.  This policy is strictly enforced.

Late appointments

Please arrive to class on time, session starts at scheduled appointment time not upon arrival time.  Especially in a group this is important, not only to respect other group members, but for your safety because there is a warm-up at the start of the session.

Session length

All sessions are 55 minutes in length unless otherwise noted.

Make up mat classes

Make-up mat classes are permitted when space is available in a similar level class during your registered six-week session and with instructor permission only.

Instructor absence

To ensure highest quality instruction and training available, instructors may have to attend continuing education throughout the year.  Every effort will be made to make this as convenient as possible to clients.

Deadlines for package use

Packages of trainings sessions have a deadline by which you must use all sessions.  These sessions are not transferable.  Deadlines are as follows:

5 sessions     6 weeks from purchase date

10 sessions   12 weeks from purchase date

15 sessions   15 weeks from purchase date

20 sessions   24 week from purchase date

Mat Classes

Because of the progressive nature of Pilates we do not have “drop in” mat classes.  All mat classes are held for 6 week periods and must be prepaid.  This creates a commitment to showing up.

Cell phones

Please turn your cell phones off before entering the studio.  This is mind body work, so your full attention is needed to achieve maximum results.  If you are expecting an emergency call, at least set the phone to vibrate and keep it close by to not disturb the others in your group.

Perfumes and Colognes

Please refrain from wearing strong fragrance as some people are allergic.  We’re exercising here, so don’t worry about the aroma of effort.

Attire

Please wear as formfitting clothes as you are comfortable in.  Baggy clothes make it difficult for the instructor to see your alignment.  No shoes are worn—socks or bare feet.  Please remove your shoes when you first enter the studio.

Mat sanitizing

After their session, clients will clean their mats and equipment with provided cleaner and paper towels.
